Peer Sorensen EG Chop Brd 50.5X36X3.3cm

An acacia board featuring end grain construction and a juice groove around the perimeter, designed to provide optimal knife treatment while also accommodating a roast.

• Sustainably sourced acacia. A beautifully grained hardwood, ensuring that no two boards have identical patterns. Durable enough for frequent use, naturally antibacterial, and resistant to moisture and wear.
• End grain construction. The fibers are oriented upright, allowing the blade to slide between them rather than cutting across. This design helps the surface close behind the cut, which is why end grain lasts longer and is gentler on knives.
• Juice groove. Captures the juices from a roast or a ripe tomato, preventing spills on the countertop.
• Kinder to your knives. Wood is gentler on blades compared to glass or stone, helping to maintain sharper edges for a longer time.
• Naturally more hygienic than plastic. Wood possesses natural antibacterial qualities and does not retain knife marks like plastic does.
• Measures 50.5x36x3.3cm. Dimensions are provided for you to verify compatibility with your countertop before purchasing.
• Finished to show the grain. Treated to enhance the timber's color and figure rather than conceal it with a coating.
• Hand wash and dry. Timber should not be placed in a dishwasher; a simple wipe down will extend the life of the board for years.
• Oil it now and then. Applying food-safe mineral oil nourishes the wood and prevents the grain from drying out. With this care, a board like this can outlast most kitchen items.
