James Stead never got to meet either of his grandfathers but he believes relationships with family and friends are what matter most. Marjory Gardner is a freelance children's book illustrator whose work has appeared in many trade and educational books and magazines. She has met lots of wonderful grandfathers who love to tinker in their messy sheds, yell at the football on TV, and dote on their grandchildren. Marjory's illustrations are drawn in felt pen, colour pencil and brush and ink.
