Marston Moor Books provides a broad range of titles across all genres. Since going online we are able to reach readers across the country who are excited about real books as we are. Independent bookshops like us matter because we love books. As avid readers we curate our book offering in an attempt to deliver a variety and richness of experiences that only good books can do. With picture books specifically being incredibly beneficial for young learners by building fluency, vocabulary and knowledge base; let’s make sure little ones get the right book into their hands as early on as possible – after all there’s nothing better than getting lost in another world between two covers!
Our history is important. It gives us a picture of past societies, ideologies, politics, cultures and how they operated. It gives understanding of New Zealand past and present. It's the foundation of genuine citizenship of Aotearoa NZ.
Māori culture (Māori: Māoritanga) is about the customs, cultural practices, and beliefs of the indigenous Māori people of New Zealand. We are pleased to state this is one of our most popular book sections for Māori and Pakeha alike.
We are an island nation with primarily an agricultural economy. We produce some of the best food in the world delivering high quality cuisine from both the land and sea. We can also boast of some of the best chef's in the world and all round great cooks!
